Registrations are officially open for the highly anticipated 2025 Fitzroy River Barra Bash, following today’s official launch event.
Proudly presented by Frenchville Sports Club, the tournament will run from 28–31 October 2025, drawing keen anglers from across the country to compete for over $90,000 in cash, prizes and giveaways.
Now in its eighth year, the Fitzroy River Barra Bash has cemented its reputation as a premier event on Central Queensland’s sporting and tourism calendar, bringing together fishing enthusiasts, families, and visitors for a four-day celebration of great fishing and great company on the iconic Fitzroy River.
Frenchville Sports Club Chairman Graeme Brady OAM said the Club is proud to deliver an event that makes a meaningful contribution to the local economy and community spirit.
“The Barra Bash is about more than fishing, it’s about bringing people together, showcasing our incredible region, and supporting local business. It draws competitors from right around the country and puts a spotlight on everything our part of Queensland has to offer,” Mr Brady said.
“Year after year, we’ve seen this event grow in popularity and profile, and we’re excited to be back on the water for another fantastic tournament in 2025.”
Mr Brady also extended his thanks to the event’s valued sponsors and supporters.
“We’re grateful for the incredible support from our event sponsors and the many local businesses and suppliers who help bring the Barra Bash to life each year. Their backing plays a huge part in making this event such a success for our community.”
With registrations expected to sell out quickly, competitors are encouraged to secure their team spot early to avoid disappointment.
